“Driftin’” is the pinnacle of Psychedelic Seeds' studio experimentation, having honed in their jams from being Grateful Dead in length, to a cosmic focal point decorating time in an exciting four minutes and twenty seconds.

Instrumentally, guitarist and vocalist, Jake Zelinger, switched off the fuzz and went full clean on this single, squeezing out early 60’s tones and Beatles-esque rhythms. Organist and synth sorceress, Nikki Kahl, keeps it groovy with a memorable motif that sounds like Manzerik on a sunny day, capping some of the darker motifs of early Psychedelic Seeds work. Drummer David Yuvienco unleashes his inner pop-mastery as the song opens up instantly with a big, fat “Yuvi” style beat!

The production shines as an instrument in its own right, showing off exactly what magic Yuvienco can dish, and what the blending of three tuned minds can create.
