Far Out

about

The upbeat, new single "Far Out," from Psychedelic Seeds marks the second release out of three from their full length album Spell Brand Presents (the release date for which has yet
to be announced). "Far Out," seems to pick up exactly where "Drifitn'" left off, giving us a short and riveting jaunt into another retro-dance style jam. "Far Out" is a forward moving, always-pushing
track and when played live (usually lasting 3-5 minutes longer than the recorded track), the audience always gets up to get down. Following the lines laid down by Far Out's older brother Driftin', the jam soars with Coachella and Woodstock-esque vibes, pulsing through your veins in a quick and consciousness expansive boom boom boom. The lyrics tell of a couple loose narratives. One being of someone who seeks physical love and exterior validation. The other is of a person who's mind is snapped. Bam, what's that? Just your third eye exploding is transcendental knowledge.

No big deal, but it's just a little too "Far Out" for me, says frontman, Jake Zelinger. "'You're too far out, I can see right through,' are lyrics begging to be dissected and mutilated much like The Beatles' Walrus but we shall spare the ego-inflation that would sure come to someone who wrote lyrics with the intent for hidden meaning to be found. There are no secrets here, although we still don't know when the "full length" album is coming. All we're getting is single after single, and there's one more after this, "Got To Love You" which is sure to be rad. In the meantime, Far Out's got me groovin A F."
